The sump is going to need return lines and so here they are. We are planning on three lines, one main, one secondary and last one for emergency drainage only.
We plan to have these installed and unions on by the end of the week. They are 2 inch lines made of flexible PVC for hot tubs.
We are still working on the sump for the upstairs reef tank; it’s coming along very nicely. We have a few cords to tie up literally and other than that all is good. So we will be able to start the water and plumbing leak tests. Automatic Tunze topoff was installed tonight, the Reef Octopus Skimmer is ready, two Ehiem thermometers, one Zeovit reactor and soon the GFO and Carbon reactors.
Just a update video here but what a wonderful reef to see, over the years he has created such a beautiful tank.
The world is a funny place, just the other day we came home to major leak…….wow water everywhere. We are okay but we realized the need to have a few spare parts around. In this case a $10 part in the workbench saved us. I don’t know why this happened to a part in place other than just a freak event.

We have started to work on the skimmer next, here is the video on its assembly. We are going to use a Reef Octopus 2000ext Recirculation Skimmer.

Well we sure do, the only way to figure it out sometimes is to lay it out. We will be shooting video of this too, but we are plumbing the new sump and making progress. Keep you posted.

This part of the build has to do little with the tank but a lot to do with how to keep it running, especially with the summer weather season and uncertainty of power loss during severe weather.
See it all comes down to keeping your pets safe and to us the coral, animals and fish are our pets and for them we bought this great lifesaving tool and got it ready as we continue the build.
