The Lawnmower Blenny lives in tropical parts of the Indo-Pacific.

The Lawnmower Blenny is primarily found on reef flats.  The Lawnmower Blenny habitat consists of coral, rubble and/or sand. Lawnmower blennies stay close to the surface where rich algae grow.  These guys can eat a lot of algae including many species of Hair Algae which can be a problem for the hobby.

Great algae control fish for reef tanks

They are reef safe if plenty of algae is present or supplemented. They typically get along well with other fish and only occasionally fight with same species tank mates.

For the beginner tank with little to no algae this is not the best fish but once algae starts to grow this fish is great.
